This update modernizes (and in some cases corrects) the bulk of this article.
Of note:
- provide some corrections / additional information about the common landmarks
- update the produced markup of the article to be more semanticly correct
- provide additional information to the HTML5 & landmark table
- remove references to
article. it is not a landmark. - update outro about support as much has changed since the original publication of this piece.
- add further reading references for in depth resources on the topic.
