This feature provides very little value to most projects and being able to easily view the rendering html tags has plenty of value for recognizing incorrect title, meta tags & setting up proper og tags, for example. I understand there may be a performance benefit for mobile users, but this is mainly helpful for non-prod environments.
This code change allows use of env var COLLAPSE_WHITESPACE so it can be set to false to disable this html minify feature.
