[2.0-wip] IE8 in Compability Mode support?

Do you have any intentions to support IE8 Compability Mode?

I've tried to test 2.0-wip with it and unfortunately got all sorts of problems.

If you're interested in supporting it, I'll update this issue with all the problems I could find.
