Windows Phone 8 IE10 workaround creates gap on right side of page

Created by: bgeihsgt

When implementing the Windows Phone IE10 JavaScript workaround a site, I am seeing a gap on the side of the page. I wanted to see if this was a problem with my site or with the workaround in general. Sure enough, when I navigate to getbootstrap.com, I'm seeing the same issue:

bootstrap_wp8_ie10_gap

I also notice that when I rotate my phone to landscape and back to portait everything looks great. I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on how to work around this. Currently experimenting with approaches, will post updates as I find them.
