Added PyXLL to Office section.

What is this Python project?

PyXLL.

A tool for creating Excel add-ins for Excel in Python.

Features include:

  • Write Excel user defined functions and macros in Python
  • Extend the Excel UI with menu functions and custom ribbons
  • Stream real time data to Excel from Python
  • Asynchronous and thread safe functions
  • Customizable type system for handling Excel <-> Python type conversion
  • Reload Python code without restarting Excel

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

No other projects embed the Python interpreter into Excel to enable writing full Excel add-ins in Python with the same level of performance that's possible with PyXLL.
