What is this Python project?

Clastic is a wonderful WSGI web server which embodies the principle "explicit is better than implicit" by eliminating the global state which complicates most web servers.

You can read more about how larger companies like PayPal use this tool here.

What's the difference between this Python project and similar ones?

  • Better URL route checking.
  • Better control of how the app initializes, e.g. ability to force middleware to load so even the first request is fast.
  • No global state. Explicit is better than implicit.
  • Lightweight. Lots of web servers try to solve every possible problem. This one keeps it simple.

Anyone who agrees with this pull request could vote for it by adding a 👍 to it, and usually, the maintainer will merge it when votes reach 20.
